Industry Overview

Dust refers to solid particles suspended in the air. There are many names for dust, such as dust, dust, smoke, mineral dust, sand dust, powder, etc., and these terms have no clear boundaries. The International Organization for Standardization stipulates that solid suspended matter with a particle size of less than 75μm is defined as dust. Now many industrial workshops grind dust and will float in the work area, and the dust particles are very small. Some will float for a long time and will be inhaled into the human lung cavity. It will cause lung disease and tumors for a long time, which is extremely harmful to the human body. Another hazard is the explosion hazard. Since the 21st century, with the rapid development of industry, dust explosion accidents have become more and more common, and the types of explosive dust are increasing. Dust mixed with air can form a combustible mixed gas. If it encounters an open flame or a high-temperature object, it is very easy to catch fire, and the combustion process is completed in an instant, releasing a large amount of heat energy, causing the combustion gas to rise suddenly, and the volume to expand violently, forming a very high expansion pressure, which is what we commonly call dust explosion.

Common dusts include:

1. Metals: magnesium powder, aluminum powder

2. Coal

3. Grains: wheat, starch

4. Agricultural and sideline products: cotton, tobacco

5. Forest products: paper, wood

6. Materials: plastic, dyes

7. Minerals and other dusts

Solution:

Monitoring location: feed grinding workshop, near the grinder, unloading area, machine room, control room and other dusty environments

Monitoring medium: feed dust particles

Detection instrument: online dust concentration detector (24-hour continuous detection of real-time concentration)

Data transmission: Determine each monitoring area according to the on-site situation Several groups of dust detection alarms are installed in the area. All detectors have the functions of real-time data display and sound and light alarm. The real-time data and alarm information can be transmitted to the dust alarm controller in each nearby area through 4-20mA and RS485 bus system or wireless 4G network, and then transmitted to the hub control box in the central control room through RS485 bus system digital signal, GPRS wireless transmission or other forms, and then transmitted to the PLC or DCS monitoring system. At the same time, it supports uploading to the Environmental Protection Bureau, and can view the data of on-site monitoring in real time. Multiple safety monitoring methods ensure production and personal safety.

Product description of dust detector:

Dust concentration detector, suitable for real-time and accurate detection of dust concentration in factory workshops, using imported laser sensors and microcontroller technology. It has the advantages of fast response speed, high measurement accuracy, good stability and repeatability. The explosion-proof wiring method is suitable for various hazardous places and is compatible with various control alarms, PLC, DCS and other control systems.

Detector signal output:

① 4-20mA signal: standard 16-bit precision 4-20mA output chip, transmission distance 1Km

② RS485 signal: standard MODBUS RTU protocol, transmission distance 2Km

③ Voltage signal: 0-5V, 0-10V output, can be set by yourself

④ Pulse signal: also known as frequency signal, frequency range adjustable (optional)

⑤ Switching signal: 2 sets of relays are standard, and the third set of relays can be optional, relay passive contacts, capacity 220VAC 3A/24VDC 3A

Usually, dust detectors are wall-mounted, commonly known as wall-mounted installation, which is natural diffusion. It is mainly used in workshops, warehouses, university laboratories, various outdoor places, etc.; first drill a hole on the wall with a diameter of 8 mm, and then use screws and nuts to fix the dust alarm detector to the specified position (where the dust is most likely to be generated); take 24V or PLC power nearby, and control the monitoring system to directly power it for work; generally installed off the ground 1.5 meters away or install it near the dust exhaust port.
